CHASS REYES

Founder of Perfect Pilates Bodies

Born and raised in the Bronx, Chass always turned to a form of fitness as her primary relaxer to reduce stress.

29 years ago, her curious journey began when she was suffering with sciatic pain and started taking mat classes. One day, she treated herself to a private session where she discovered two things.

  1. An intimate connection with her body could be developed using this weird apparatus called “The Reformer” and…

  2. How she was definitely in the wrong professional field for her career.

She tucked away these two feelings for a while but knew they would resurface and make a change down the road. Continuing to use fitness as her source of therapy. Chass practiced Boxing, Cycling, Weight Lifting, Barre, Jogging…she even circled back to her youth by jumping Double Dutch, yet nothing matched the feeling of harmony she once experienced so many years ago with Pilates.

Fast forward to 2019, Chass recalled her yearning to learn and teach with a local Pilates studio in Brooklyn. Within 2 months of aligned movement, she was hooked. Not wanting to miss this second calling again, she enrolled in a comprehensive teacher training program and became a certified teacher.

Just as Joe wished for everyone to practice Contrology. One of her goals is to bring Pilates to the marginalized community in NYC. Typically, this practice is normally out of financial reach to this community. Chass offers free park Mat Pilates classes to those who normally would not be able to afford a studio session. It’s important to keep the flame going by sharing the work no matter what the limitations are.

Some of her clients dubbed her the name “Little Trouble” as she can quickly identify the movement your body needs yet is neglected. Her main goal is to bring strength, length, and control to everyone she works with. Allowing the beautiful movement of Pilates to perfect your body.
